Cor, what a fabulous place!!!! Extremely friendly staff, comfortable pub with big roaring fire, fabulous choice of beers, ciders and spirits. The food was wonderful, I had the ham, egg and chips, it looked like I had hardly touched when I finished because the portion was so generous. I had to leave before breakfast, the team provided me with a lovely bowl of Greek yoghurt and honey, I could have had a breakfast wrap if I wanted it, there is a fridge on the landing. The room, it had absolutely everything you could wish for, USB sockets, excellent shower, tea, coffee, chocolate, biscuits, lots of milks, water...touch lamps which I love. Best of all for me, there was a fan which was brill. On the landing there was an ironing board and iron and there were spare waters in the fridge. Good WiFi. I was truly impressed with this wonderful hotel. Thank you!! 😊

Great atmosphere. We arrived after what had been a 10th anniversary weekend of celebrations. It was obvious that the weekend had been a success and money had been raised for the Alzheimer’s Association. Staff were very friendly, the bedroom, though fairly small, had everything we needed and more; as well as tea and coffee making facilities there was hot chocolate, biscuits, bottled water and chocolates. There was also a fan, should we have needed it. We enjoyed a good evening meal, and the continental breakfast was varied (cereal, fruit, yogurt, ham, cheese, hot croissant), plentiful and delicious.

The pub itself is worth a visit. Beautifully traditional with an open fire. Exactly what we needed after a cold blustery day. We were allowed to check in early as the room was ready which was so appreciated. Food was fantastic, freshly made and very tasty. We only stated for one night but will definitely be back if we need to be in the area again. Room was perfect, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating and interested in where you'd travelled from. It was a lovely experience.

I stayed at the Cross Keys for an event locally, the staff were exceedingly friendly from the start. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and a good size. The pub itself has a good selection of food and drink, and has a very welcoming atmosphere. There is a sizeable car park to the rear which can accommodate vehicles up to van/pick-up truck easily. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely book again.

A very nice and rather quirky country inn with a great bar and pub garden and friendly and helpful staff. The room we stayed in was reasonably spacious and clean with a good shower. It was very hot and humid at the time but they had provided two fans which helped a lot. We enjoyed the continental breakfast which consisted of cereal, fruit juice, fruit, yoghurt, croissants or toast, and cheese and ham.
